New FSU institute trains the next wave of autism educators
The number of children identified with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) continues to rise, underscoring the need for educators who are prepared to support autistic learners in a range of classroom settings. Recent data shows that 1 in 31 children age 8 — about 3.2% of that population — has been diagnosed with ASD, making autism-focused training an increasingly important part of professional development for today’s educators.
