Jacob Perez is excited to support students with the STRIDES program this year. He is a 4th-year doctoral candidate training in the Counseling Psychology and School Psychology Combined PhD Program at Florida State University. Before that, Jacob grew up in Miami, Florida, earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami with majors in Neuroscience and Philosophy, and earned his master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Florida. Since then, Jacob has delivered counseling services in schools and supported families with in-home visits. He also speaks Spanish! For fun in his day-to-day life, Jacob loves listening to music and enjoying a good cup of Cuban coffee, and when he has the opportunity, he loves to visit national parks and go ice skating!
