Melissa Powell is the program director for the Office of Strategic Outreach & Recruitment (SOAR) at the Anne Spencer Daves College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences. She leads the college's communications, marketing, and strategic outreach efforts, overseeing news and media relations, digital communications, creative services, photography and video, event management, social media, and recruitment. She has worked at FSU since 2017 and previously served in marketing and communications roles at the FSU College of Medicine and FSU Career Center.
Powell earned her bachelor's degree in business and organizational communication from the University of Akron and her master's degree in integrative studies from Northern Kentucky University.
