Interests

My passion is in the area of child nutrition. As babies and young children our bodies are programmed to move towards healthy choices.  But society and our surroundings often override those cues.  It’s important to teach children about food in a healthy way. To teach caregivers how to turn food into a non-issue and convert the dinner table from a battleground to a nurturing environment.

Accomplishments

Since becoming the DPD director the dietetics major has become a degree and a limited access program. Limited access status has allowed us to focus our efforts, we have had a nearly 100% placement rate to internships, graduate programs or employment.
