Interests
I am interested in relational processes across individual and family development, as they are nested in diverse contexts (race/ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, religion). More specifically, my passion is strengthening interpersonal and family relationships through encouraging self-awareness, improving communication skills, and increasing understanding of family and contextual influences. I incorporate these values to my clinical activities where I focus my work with individuals, couples, and families with relational issues. I also strive to disseminate the research, intervention and clinical activities of the Family and Child Sciences Department through university and community public speaking engagements.
