Dr. Garret Hall is an associate professor in the MS/EdS School Psychology program as well as the Combined Counseling and School Psychology PhD program. He graduated with his PhD in Educational Psychology (School Psychology Area) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2020. He received his M.S. in Educational Psychology (School Psychology Area) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2017, and he received a B.A. with majors in English and Psychology from Northern Illinois University in 2015.

Dr. Hall’s research focuses on developmental patterns of academic skills; interrelations of academic, cognitive, behavioral, and affective functioning; and prevention science in schools to promote positive youth outcomes. Quantitative methodology application and refinement are core parts of this research, including measurement development and psychometrics, longitudinal modeling, causal inference, and Bayesian statistics in data-based decision-making.
