
Dr. Chuck Conner is a Teaching Faculty II in the Department of Health, Nutrition, and Food Sciences. He began working at Florida State University in August 2025 and teaches in the Athletic Training Program. He teaches a range of musculoskeletal and healthcare-related administration courses at the undergraduate level. Before joining the faculty at Florida State University, Dr. Conner was an assistant professor at Valdosta State University where he served as Program Director for both the Athletic Training Program and Health Sciences Program. He is a licensed and certified Athletic Trainer. Dr. Conner earned an Ed.D. from Valdosta State University, a M.A. from Furman University, and a B.S. from Valdosta State University.
Dr. Conner’s interests include performance issues, injuries, and conditions related to the musculoskeletal system. He is also extremely interested in working with and mentoring students choosing a healthcare professions pathway. It is important for students to understand all the elements needed to advocate for patients, as well as provide the absolute best healthcare possible to their patients. Helping students reach their goal of becoming healthcare professionals is one of the best parts of his job.
