Catherine Anne Young is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and doctoral student in the combined Counseling and School Psychology Ph.D. program at Florida State University. She serves as a Graduate Research Assistant with Seminoles ASPIRE: Alliance for Supporting Positive-growth & Inspiring Resilience in Education, where she provides counseling and wellness support to students.

Catherine brings a unique background as both a therapist and former Title I school teacher, giving her firsthand insight into the academic, social, and emotional challenges students face. Her clinical experience spans children, adolescents, and adults, with a focus on school-based interventions, anxiety, depression, and trauma-informed care.

Her research interests center on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), resilience, and identity-based bullying, with the goal of developing effective school-based prevention and intervention programs for youth and families. Passionate about both practice and research, Catherine is committed to integrating mental health support into educational settings and helping students thrive academically and emotionally.
